As if life isn't confusing enough,
philosophers keep introducing new stuff
for us to cogitate, mulling through
books, articles, treatises
to probe along the intricasies
of the brainy literary businesses
allied to science, of course,
to reduce romantic sentiment
and specialize on reality itself
to include among the books on your shelf.
Thus biography has a stake
on all this eye-fatiguing intake,
giving you new mental pies to domestically bake
to prove that sincere endeavor is never a fake.
On all this intellectual activity, what's your take?
I'd tell you mine, but that would help you cheat,
like someone who substitutes white bread for whole wheat.
